The match, played at the Pratappur Stadium, saw the home team win the toss and elect to field first. Royal Strikers posted a competitive total of 167/5 in their 20 overs.

In response, Pratappur Champions got off to a flying start with openers adding 45 runs in the powerplay. The chase was anchored by captain Ravi Shastri, who remained unbeaten on 62 off 42 balls.
